Contact UsIS YOUR TRAILER MOT VALID?
The DVSA has stopped issuing MOT discs for trailers as they've gone on-line. Enforcement Officers now do their roadside checks on a tablet making it easier for them but not necessarily for you.
To help avoid any breach of CPC Regulations, we replace the DVSA disc with our own (as shown in the picture) to remind you of your MOT Expiry Date.
You can also Click Here to check your MOT on-line. You'll need the Trailer ID or "C" number to do this.
HOW SECURE IS YOUR LOAD?
Load security is a primary concern for HGV operators as not only does it prevent goods from falling onto roads, it protects the operator's reputation when goods arrive undamaged.
Click on the links to get DVSA produced operator guidance for load security and videos covering good practice for securing a load, the consequences of poor load security and how the DVSA enforces the rules. We hope you find them useful.
DAILY ROUTINE
We all have a regular routine, whether walking the dog or making that first brew in the morning! We thought it would be a good idea to share the routines we promote here at T.E.S. MacDonald.
The Driver Walk Around Checklist covers all of the things we promote for safe and (hopefully) trouble free operations. To add to the walk-around checks, this Daily Driver Checklist provides a really useful prompt for those jobs we all know (or should do) and love.
SIZE MATTERS
At T.E.S. MacDonald we know we do a great job of repairing trailers but we really want you to get to us without any further problems.
With this in mind we're provding Directions to T.E.S. MacDonald Workshops avoiding all low bridges, weight limits and HGV restricted access.
The link also contains a Metric to Imperial conversion chart for typical trailer heights, just in case!
